Rosendals Trädgård - Day 11

Hi family and friends! (And of course Hal!)

Today was the twelfth day of our New Nordic trip, and our third day in Stockholm! Today's morning began not much later with a trip to Rosendals Trädgård, an organic garden in the region. The ride was interesting because although we rode the metro, as we had done previously, but we had some people join us on the city bus because there were multiple field trips going on in the area for the grade school students. We arrived at our bus stop shortly before enjoying a scenic stroll to the garden area, which included crossing a bridge. Below is a photo of all the dogs we spotted swimming beneath the bridge before heading to the garden.

Rosendals Trädgård is an organic garden where they cultivate a variety of fruits and vegetables along with an orchid and flower garden. The tour began with our tour guide Clara in the orchid. She stated that all of the operations, whether growing crops or assisting in the blooming of flowers, are part of a team effort. As Clara mentioned it's critical that everyone participates in the cycle. There is a plan that begins with planting and continues through watering, weeding, and the end step of being used in grocery store and bakery items. Fruit from some orchid trees is only good for two to three days before developing a "old fruit" flavor which I found interesting and did not necessarily think about before she had said it.

Furthermore, this is all part of their effort to provide a pleasant atmosphere for the future generation. Clara and her staff are doing their part by working hard to provide reliable food resources for their people. This is done so that the garden can be passed on to the next generation, offering just as many, if not more substantial, products that are part of the Scandinavian diet's natural produce.

That's all I have got for now; once again, Happy Birthday Hal! To more organic goods for day 12!🌸
